Re: [RC] [RC] Water tank for trailer - Dawn Carrie

If the hose screws in, it might just be a loose fit, with wter leaking out around the threads.  You might try unscrewing the hose, and wrapping the threads with thread tape.  It's a white, soft, weird-textured tape stuff...check in the plumbing section at Walmart or any hardware store.  Wrap a layer or two of this around the threads, press it against the threads firmly, and screw the hose back in.  The thread tape will smush in around the threads and stop any leakage that might be occuring there.

I have one of those plastic water tanks that holds about 30 gallons which we bolted onto the floor of our horse trailer. It has begun to leak and I see no cracks, and think that it's wet around the connection to where the hose fits in.

Does anyone know where to get replacement parts, or fix this or do you just buy a new one?
