[RC] Mike Ross Ride between the Rivers - labdoggyI am usually a lurker here on Ridecamp. (Hi Dodie!!) This is only my second season of doing CTR's and LD's with my 11 year old Morgan mare. We did 6 rides last season, and have done 6 so far this year including the Mike Ross ride. I can't tell you how much I enjoyed this one!! WHAT a challenging trail! And I am just tickled that my mare and I completed it with time to spare! I just think we might be ready to move up to a 50 either by the end of this season or early next season! The Mike Ross ride was so very well run... volunteers aplenty... all with kind words and smiles to boot! I believe that this ride was put on by the Randolf County Horsemans club. Everyone was interested in "why we need so much water?" and asked alot of other questions about our sport! A GREAT group of horse people! The views were beautiful when you got to the top of those mountains! I am looking forward to doing this ride again next year!
