[RC] 101 old horse- reply - L gin

thanks everyone I will try the salt water, but my younger horse Scout likes to flip buckets and stuff, everything is a toy--have to see if I have anything he will leave alone..
He does like his feed wet, which I do.
But everyone is sweating just standing around,Escept Rascal and the donkey...
I did go hose everyone off around 1pm.....

No I wouldn't stall him, the barn is for feeding only. But they have free access to it (2 stalls right now) and do sometimes stand in it to get away from deer flies. I know cause I clean it.
But they actually have a trees , too many in their pasture--- they even have been eating a tunnerl thru the drycreek area. And they have low and high areas.
He does have a light colored textilene fly sheet on --- but since he is dark bay, I figure the color offsets the fabric, otherwise the flies, and deer flies go after him and he welts up.
