Just a little aside here Jody.  Think of it this way! 
If you adopted a human child it would take your last
name and be part of your family.  Even though Jet is
your bloodline it would be most fitting for an adopted
horse to carry the prestige and honor - even though it
was not born into your bloodlines.  :)  

Having done rescue for so many years I am always going
to side on the adoptees side.  :)   And since this guy
is a part of your family.  And he is gelded.  It
becomes a non-issue - because there is no worry that
he would carry the name forward.  Therefore, no real
worries that an 'unknown' commodity would have a
negative affect on Petit Jet bloodline.  Unless, you
are worried that he is going to have a negative affect
or perception.  But then isn't that a risk we all take
with anything that we breed, even within, our
bloodlines?  

At-any-rate, how about Jet Imposter.  :)
