 Thank you. That explains it. I felt that men should be winning this because men are still, in fact, stronger than women. Its just a fact. They have better endurance as well. So I was expecting to find that there were far many more men winning than women ad was very surprised to see that was not so. However, if like you said, half the starts were men, and the other half were women, then maybe the men would be winning more. I bet that would be the case just based on physics alone.

Actually women are about 70+% of AERC members so that this number
of men is out of proportion with more than a 2:1 ratio of women to
men.
