Susan,

Whenever I go into the high country (like we will on Tevis), I buy the Absorbine UltraShield Towlettes to supplement the natural flyspray I put on at the trailhead. It is easy to wipe on and easy to carry.

Austrailian Connection also carries a towlette.

Asorbine Ultrashield was recommended to me by a fellow who does the boggy salt fork lake trails regularly. It seems to work well at keeping biting flies at bay, but certainly not to the 14 day claim on the bottle..... 14 hours? uh, somewhere between 14 minutes and 14 hours.... maybe longer if applied to cloth.... like atop the saddle pad, on a earnet...
