Re: [RC] FW: Dear Tech Support (OT, but one for the guys) - Sisu West Ranch

Contrary to common experience it is possible to completely remove Wife 1.0 and 2.3. The problem is that this requires a complete reformat followed by the installation of Divorce 3.8. Divorce 3.8 is efficient software, but will require permanent dedication of exactly 1/2 of the system resources.

I did this about 12 years ago. Subsequently installed girl friend 8.0 followed by the upgradeable girl friend 9.1. This program worked so well that I upgraded to life partner 3.2.

Like wife 1.0, partner 3.2 is a complete operating system. It has a few distinct advantages. 1. The reproduction module has been removed. 2. Horse 4.3 is included. (my versions of wife 1 and 2 did not include this feature). 3. While it does come with Clean and Sweep, Do Bills, and project 4.7, the superior performance of the main program more than compensates for the required usage of these utilities.

I strongly recommend skipping all versions of Wife and installing Life Partner first. You should never need an upgrade. If you do not mind the constant need for upgrades, current version of Girl Friend may work for you. I found it to be rather boring after a few years.
