If one has a slow modem, does a satellite connection make it faster?  In
other words, with an older, slower computer is it really going to make a
difference to pay $50 or so for a satellite connection.  And keep in mind,
from what I've been told (could be wrong) that satellite connections can be
susceptible to bad weather - snow, sleet, etc.

I tried to go to the new endurance.net website and my computer crashed.

Don't forget microwave point-to-point connection.  I don't think it is as
widely available as satellite but if you can get it, there is much less
latency (delay) so it is better for things like voip.  Mine goes by the
name GigaSkyNet and runs $49/month.


Yep me too...old dog doesn't like to lern a new trick and for the slower
dial ups it is a paint in the butt...lol
