[RC] Horse Death, Thelma and Louise, etc. - Renee Dorsey

OK, I sometimes don't know crap about crap - `grin`  - but, is it not human nature to NOT want to be somewhere that you are not welcomed?   I guess my thoughts on this issue are that maybe good old fashioned, down and dirty, immature peer pressure would work.

These kids (and they ARE sounding like ungrateful little brats/kids to me) show up at a ride, pull in and people should scowl.  They should boo them at ride meetings.  They get hate mail.   I sure know that if I showed up at a ride and was treated that way, I would want to pack up and leave - not that I would do anything this dispicable to MY horse, btw.  But you get my drift?    I know, I know - we don't want to stoop and slither to their level, but I bet their horses would disagree.

Someone also posted along the way about a Tevis rider putting a water horse up a horse's ARSE for hydration; but they threatened to sue due to their wealth?   WTF?????    I became interested in Distance riding and fell in love with it because I was hoping to get away from the crap that goes on in the show venues; that "Mr. so and so" gets away with abuse, etc. because he/she has the means to get their own way.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE tell me that we (as a sport) have not come to this.  I don't think it has, but I pray it doesn't go any further down the path.  These people should be ashamed and not welcomed in this venue.

Anyway, FWIW - my quick and dirty (well, not exactly in the gutter) thoughts on this matter.
