RE: [RC] horse deaths and poeple - heidi

Unfortunately, just letting folks like this enter in order to avoid the hassle is simply further empowering them to do what they have been doing.  The protest procedure is in place for a reason, and it is ok to let the system work.  If you have good documentation on riders like this, and they protest, then the good documentation should be able to back up the manager's decision to deny entry.  Far better that than to let this sort of behavior continue to escalate.

The AERC BOD minutes a few issues ago had a write up from a rider who was denied entry, and even with excellent documentation on a rider who was denied entry to a ride, they still protested it, which just makes more work for the manager, to submit to the AERC protest committee information on why they denied entry, and more work for the AERC BOD to deal with these issues. Maybe in the past, some managers felt it easier to just let them ride, and hope things go trouble free.
