[RC] side ache/rider cramp - Dawn Simas

Any advice on preventing a sideache in my abdomen when I start my ride sometimes?  Or how to get it to go away?  I had one at the start of the Amer. River 70 and was riding hunched over the saddle horn like a gutshot cowboy.  Not fun.  I'm eating a banana a day until Tevis, I heard potasium helps.  Runners have told me to breathe deeply to relax the muscle.  But it's hard to relax it when I use my abs to ride properly, especially at the faster pace at the start of a ride.   Advice?

Thank you!
