I agree with you a 100 % Bruce .This is a recipe for disaster .On the new COX 2 inhibitor ,'one with a troubled joint or tendon ' can run like mad without any symptom of pain .It is the sequalae post competition that would be damaging .In a horse with only horses sense ,and adrenaline rush ,this would be disastrous .Why the after thought ??!!
