[RC] How to train a horse to tail up a hill - Marcia Nelson

Another good one I like is to work with long lines close in and use their tail along with the long lines. I can get the concept across to them about direction with the long lines and get them used to feeling their tail being handled from behind while moving. I can change the amount of feel that is on their tail and increase it until they are tolerant enough to have me really use it and they understand what I'm doing behind them tugging on their tail! On the flat in an arena first, then on an open flat area and then add some uneven terrain and then go on up a hill and see what you get!
