I have researched this. I even had an equine nutritionist come out and do a hay analysis. And hay in utah and nevada is lacking in proper nutrients.

My analogy was the reference to "only eating" one thing. Meaning: You cannot have a balanced diet by only eating meat. Nor can a horse have a balanced diet by "only eating" hay.
