[RC] beet pulp - sherman

The only thing I've ever heard about pelleted beet pulp is that it NEEDS
to be soaked until the pellets are soft or it can cause the horse to
choke. I've always used shredded beet pulp, which does not need to be
soaked, so I just add a bit of water, everything else, stir & serve.
This winter, when there was no shredded bp abailable, I had to use the
pelleted and was quite surprised that it took so long to break up those
pellets. I was able to accelerate the process by using hot water, but it
was sure annoying if I'd forgotten to set out a bucket of it to soak the
night before. My horses don't like waiting too long for their bp in the
morning.
