Hi Janet,

Your problem is fairly common. Unfortunately there's only one cure... post on the "uncomfortable" diagonal. Your objective is to get your horse to not care which diagonal you use. Since she is used to your acceding to her desire to put you on her right diagonal, start by increasing the number of strides you post on the left by 10 to 20 per cycle. Yes, you literally have to count the strides... at first. If you usually post approx 20 lefts for every 80 rights, go to 30 lefts for every 70 rights. As she strengthens, increase the number of lefts till you are at 50-50. Good luck and happy riding :)
