Sounds to me like Capitalism is working perfectly. If you think they
charge too much, you go down the road. If the store down the road takes
all their customers they have to respond by meeting their price or sell
none. If they messed up and have a contract with some supplier that made
their prices go up and the other co-op had a better supplier whose price
stayed down...the fittest survives. 

You are upset they don't stay "Loyal" to their customers. Will you stay
"Loyal" to them when their price is higher or go to the lowest price? 
You're worried about the farmers and think the price of corn should stay
low. Who do you think *sells* the corn in the first place?  If half the
corn crop is lost, the price on the remaining corn crop goes up. Supply
and demand. 

Finally...You feed cracked corn??
