Re: [RC] [RC] Thinline Pads - Barbara ReevesIt's a good thing! That means it's really non-slip, lol. It sticks to my mare big time too. Becuase it's open cell, it will circulate some air, so the back doesn't seem to get overly hot, and the sweat is able to drip down out from under the pad. When it's too hot, I use my TL over the Skito. I have the 100% wool bottom on my skito, so it does a great job of whicking sweat and keeping her back cool during our hot and HUMID summer rides. If you don't have a Skito, you might think about using a 1/4" dry ice felt pad. You can get them at http://www.horse.com, or any thin wool felt or sheepskin/wool fleece pad. ThinLine recommends using a liner pad for really hot conditions, to circulate more air against the horse's back. About the TL materials: http://aretesaddlery.com/tack/index.php?act=viewProd&productId=46 I use the regular 1/4" thickness. ~Barbara --- Ridecamp Digest <ridecamp-digest@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> wrote: From: "Chastain, Shannon L." <slchast@xxxxxxxx> Subject: RE: [RC] Thinline Pads I just got a thinline a few weeks ago and so far love it. I do have one question when I rode about 3 hours in very hot humid weather the pad was "stuck" on my horses back when I got back. I had to actually peel it off. It this a good or bad thing?
