[RC] The big Butt theory - Jody Rogers-Buttram

Ok,   we know about the Big Boom theory, but what about the Big Butt theory.
Angie and I did some non-scientific research on the trail at OD this past Saturday concerning just this.

I've said that Rose does better on a hill/mountain ride than Aries because she has a big butt.  I have felt that she had more to "push" off of than poor Dumby.   So, as we are climbing up some of the long climbs at the OD, we both had heart monitors on the horses.  Here was the results:

Rose would be 10 or more beats lower on pulse than Aries, even though she was carrying more weight than Aries.  (Yes, I am taller and fatter than Angie).

We thought maybe this was a fluke, but when it was consistent on several climbs, we felt sure it was because Rose has more "push power".
Now, normally, Aries is at least 15 beats lower than Rose, and she was when we were on the flat....but not up the hills.

Any thoughts from you guys?

Jody  (who prefers that big butt)
