It was pretty awful for him. We have Heartworms pretty badly in Mariposa and so using a med is almost a necessity. My vet has a client whose Jack Russell contracted Heartworms. His owner said she religiously gave her dog its monthly pill and couldn't understand how it was possible that he had Heartworms.
