The rules have changed however, if you consistently finish in the top 6,
good money is there for endurance horses because you get "points" for every
horse you finish in front of not just the other AHA sweepstake horses in the
ride...in a 50, that could be a lot of horses.

Beth,

Watch the rules, as they have changed from what I have been told. I have
been told that it used to be a pretty nice thing with geldings, but that
it
has changed..need to do some more research to be sure. But, not all
Sweepstakes nominated horses are from show or race barns. My gelding is,
and
he is from a strictly endurance barn, Misty Mountain Farms in Tehachapi,
CA.
