Re: [RC] high ties vs spring ties - Lysane Cree

I put Hi-ties on my trailer before the start of the season and have been using them at the past couple of rides. I love them so far. They are quiet, give my horse more room to move around and were pretty easy to install. The arm of the hi-tie is not completely solid, it does have some give to it if you pull on it. I bought them from Sportack and the service was quick and efficient.
I think Karen Chaton had a list of pros and cons about the different ties - not sure of the link though.

I'm thinking of getting a tie system for my trailer. I didn't realize there were so many kinds out there. What are the pros and cons of the various tie systems offered? Do most of you perfer solid high ties or the spring ties? Since I'm a very light sleeper I would prefer the one that would make the less noise. Thanks for the info. Kathy Crothers
