After a training ride in the winter, I asked my
daughter to grab the blankets so we could let the horses out to cool with the
blankets on. She tossed my blanket to me while she was standing behind my
very well mannered mare. Santee freaked, kicked, and knocked Sally Ann up
against the barn door. I freaked, my mare freaked when she saw what she
had done, the neighbor getting horse manure freaked, and my daughter said as she
laid there, "will dad makes us get rid of the horses?" Sally Ann sported
butterfly bandages on her head cut for a couple of days but we were back to
conditioning in no time at all. Jeanie
