[RC] freeze branding - Roger Garlitz

Title: freeze branding

I had my stallion freeze branded about 13 years ago. He is black ( and a gelding now); the freeze brand kills the color follicles in the hair. So his brand is white hairs. I also had my NATRC Arab freeze branded. He ( Comar Rougzon) was gray and the brand hairs turned black.

The hair grows normal. All you need to do to keep it very visible is run the clippers over it occasionally.  His brand is his Arabian registry number, but it is done in the form of a <. Depending on the direction of the > it represents a different number.

I would highly recommend freeze branding. It takes about 20 seconds as I recall. I believe the price was somewhere between $50 -$75.
