[RC] Shoes or Boots for GA mtns on normally barefoot horse? - Buzzard's Roost

I would shoe up.

This may just be me but... whenever I've tried to go it barefoot (& I've tried it for months at a time up here in those GA mtns), I thought about my horse's feet the whole time.  Always thinking of his feet & how he was going instead of just flying down the trail like I should have been doing.  Now I just shoe up & go & saddle bag a Boa boot.  It's more fun, less worry.  To me.

My guess is that if you're thinking about it now, you'll be thinking about it on the trail.  Less fun, more worry.

p.s.  You'll love Ft. Mtn.  Beautiful ride.  Nice people.  Seems to be uphill the whole ride.  How do they do that?
