Very good advice--thank you!! That "the pros" who make electrolytes know what they're doing is something I've taken for granted. Appreciate your insight regarding blood pH--gives me something else to consider when considering the myriad choices of electrolytes available nowdays. :-)

I have no idea what is in these electrolytes, but you need to make sure it contains NO sodium bicarbonate which will change the pH of the blood in a direction that you don't want it to go. For the life of me I can't remember if it makes the blood more basic or acidic, but if it is made for racehorses you don't want to use it because of blood chemistry pH.. Thanks, Sheila
