Re: [RC] Back to dressage schooling after a 100? - Roxanne Ciccone

It is funny you should ask. FM Spirit Wind finished the Biltmore 100. I felt kind of guilty getting on him and doing some schooling on Saturday, but we a Dressage show on Sunday. He was brat when i schooled him, but was great at the show and had 60.78% score with a secon place ribbon.

Hello.

For those of you 100-milers who also school dressage, assuming all is well with your horse -- no soreness, residual fatigue, significant weight loss, etc. -- after you arrive home from a 100 miler, how long would you wait before tacking up and doing some light dressage schooling.

It's almost a week since Biltmore, Ned is looking grand, and I'm tempted to climb aboard to do some easy stretching and loosening work.

Thanks for your insight.
