[RC] [RC] Easy boots with out gaitors - Dream Weaver

One last question concerning easy boots.  Have there been any successful riders using just the easy boots on 50 mile rides? I'm sure they have a better chance of staying on with gaitors but would like to know if it's possible with out them. I'm guess it depends on the horse and how it moves, etc. What about in mud?

Hi Kyle:  The current leader in the 2007 hoof boot contest used regular Easyboots on a barefoot horse all four days/200 miles of Death Valley.

In addition, Neel Glass and his wife both rode endurance horses over 5,000 miles each in the 70's using Easyboots over barefoot horses.  Here are a couple of 30 year old articles on the topic that you might find interesting.  Is shoeing a necessary evil, and Why not four.  We're not reinventing the wheel, just keeping it rolling.  ;)
