John,

I have a suggestion. Why don't you designate one day per month that any 
vendors can place an announcement of a special/new product/etc on RC. They 
would need to put their vendor name and "special" or "new product" in the 
subject line so those who were not interested did not have to even open it. 
Like the last day of the month, etc???
