[RC] When people ask - Tx Trigger

Original message:
Most of the time the olny way to learn is by making mistakes. Like
wearing jeans instead of tights, after you rip your skin off you won,t feel
silly in tights anymore. It,s like being a teenager, can,t tell them
anything. Live & learn & hope the poor horse survives. jvm <<<

But when they DO NOT survive, or get hurt due to a rider who is making
mistakes so they can "learn", the whole sport can suffer. Admit it folks, we
are participating in a sport that the general public knows little about.
Well, some actually think it is the same type of ride like that Omak
Suicide race Animal welfare groups watch us closely, and horses get injured
or die every year. (Google it if you have not heard of it) When a ride is
going to be available for the public to watch closely, such as it sounds the
Santa Fe ride is going to be, I think many want to make sure riders AND
their horses are prepared, so that "mistakes" that could injure or kill a
horse are not shown on the evening news. (of course, we want riders
prepared for ALL rides, not just the ones that are so public) Nothing would
get the public more worked up towards endurance riding (and racing) that
video of horses on I.V.'s. ... or one covered with a tarp.
