Re: [RC] [RC] Dainty built horses??? - Maryben Stover

Little, thin, and white feet I would not worry about.  Khazen+/ (AERC HAll of Fame Horse) looked like both front legs were coming out of the same hole he was so narrow in the front.  The light bone I would worry about but then I am a heavyweight.  It is not necessarily a bad thing.

It sort of just depends on the overall horse and how fast you want to go.........mb

Hi RC
I am looking at a 6 yr. old mare for a endurance
prospect but I have some concerns.
1) 14.1 hands and she is very thin(not well
feed)650LBS maybe
2)very narrow in the chest area
3)very fine bones
4) white hooves
I know if I were looking at her for any other sport I
would not even ask... but do these type horses do
well. Right now I have a 15 hand polish gelding who is
1050 lbs so she looks really small. I am 5'2 135 lbs
and tack 186 lbs. I know with good feed and worming
she would put on weight but it more her frame and fine
bones that concern me. Any comments would be great!
Thank you
Andra
