A friend of mine answered this way:
 
The gall bladder stores bile which is utilized to digest animal fats in people. 
Horses don¹t usually eat animal fat and therefore have no gall bladder.
Beet pulp is very high in calcium but I doubt that it causes arthritis.

If I recall correctly, horses don't have gall bladders.
