Re: [RC] [RC] Saddle for dropped back - Dawn Carrie

My 21 yr old gelding's back has dropped, even more so after colic surgery a while back.  I'm currently riding him in a Barefoot Cheyenne (treeless) saddle.  I ordered the Skito shim for saddles that bridge...the shim comes in one piece.  I cut it into two pieces, and inserted one piece into each side of my Equipedic pad.  Works great, and Chivas is quite comfy.  :)  I'm hoping to get him back out on the trails for an easy ride or two this fall.

Dawn (and HK Chivas...oooh...you mean I get to chase horse butts again???  cool!)

I tried the archives, but couldn't find anything on saddles for a horse whose back has dropped. Was thinking maybe a treeless saddle would work? Any suggestions?

Thanks!
