[RC] protocol for abandonment" - John Teeter - Leonard.Liesens

Title: protocol for abandonment" - John Teeter

In my opinion, like John stated it is the protocol that must be defined to categorize a "rider option" like you qualify it in the US.

If you have been running your horse into the ground and let's say "give up" at the loop N, then you wouldn't be counted as "metabolic" according to the existing regulation. Which is not correct if the metabolic parameters are on RED, example "horse staying at 70BPM", "no gut sound", etc...

The vet committee should have the right to change the resaon of elimination from RO to metabolic.

You have to correlate this with the new proposal of penalyzing riders with consecutive metabolic eliminations.
