RE: [RC] grip easy boots - Karen StandeferEven in the PNW, we don't ride in the mud all that much. In the wet months we ride on logging roads, so the grips would be detrimental to the horses. Even on our slick clay trails when they're wet in the winter, the Bares have good traction. My horse has had better traction with Bares on his hinds, climbing wet, clay, mountain trails than some of his riding buddies with shoes on. The Epics on the hinds don't afford near the traction that the bares do, IMO. Karen Referenced Post: I think the Gripes were developed for riders in really rainy, wet areas such as the Pacific Northwest and northern Europe. In fact, I think for the ride you are describing that will probably have at least as many rocky parts as muddy, I'd prefer either the Epics or Bares which I think would be better on rocks. And besides, your horse is already used to them. Laney -- No virus found in this outgoing message. Checked by AVG Free Edition.
