I believe you.? :)? ? ?I'll just have to remember that the terms are backwards from what would make sense:? traveling left, rising on the left front foot, ought to be the left diagonal -- all the terms agree.? But no ... traveling left, rising on the left front foot, we are on the RIGHT diagonal .? Or, using the other description, traveling left, sitting when the right shoulder moves forward we are on the right diagonal.? Sure.? Anyone can figure that out, right?? :) ? ?Ah well, as I said before, the English drive on the wrong side of the road, too.? :)

The diagonals are determined when you are sitting NOT up....so with that said..if you are rising on the left front foot...you are on the right diagonal...so if you are rising on the right front foot...it's your left diagonal.....I taught Eventing for many years...I know it sounds crazy but it is true....
