[RC] Re:Horses having fun - victoria thompson

The horse I had in high school didn't have much of a sense of humor until we took him out of the pasture and stuck him in a boarding stable. A week after living there the stable owner walked outside to feed and found all the horses had been let out of their stalls. He couldn't figure out what happened. Three mornings in a row he came out to find all the horses loose. The fourth night he stayed up, hiding in the hay loft. About an hour after his family went to bed and all the lights had been turned off my Blackjack would lift the latch on his stall door. Then he proceeded to unlatch all the other doors as well. Since the barn doors were closed at night none of the horses got loose, but they were all happily roaming around the stalls all night long. Blackjack also enjoyed standing in the bathtub water troughs. I moved Blackjack back onto pasture when I got my drivers license. The stable owner said he'd never been so sorry to see a horse leave before. Once back on pasture he never did silly things again. Go figure.
