I guess I've got to wonder what this adds to the "science." There have 
been plenty of such studies done. I suspect Gayle Ecker has a database 
of thousands of horses. UGA did studies in the mid 90's including two at 
the Biltmore. There were studies done at both the '95 and 96 ROC. There 
were studies done at the Biltmore in 2000. Sue G has data from the 
Tevis. How much does Barney have?

SERA has data on thousands of horses that show basically the same weight 
lost profile. I guess I have to wonder why someone isn't taking the data 
we already have and crunch it instead collecting more data.
