[RC] Carolina Challenge endurance ride...and thanks - Juli Bechard

Does anyone know where I can go to get information on the Carolina Challenge Ride on Thanksgiving weekend?  A friend of mine up in Maryland and I have been discussing meeting there this year.  I have been planning on doing my first 50 this fall, and thought it might be fun to meet friends also.  You know, a little moral support somewhere around the 40 mile mark, when my horse and I have now traveled further than we ever have in one day….  Anyway, she suggested this ride, but I can’t seem to find any information on it.

Oh, and while I’m thinking of it, thank you to everyone for the help with my new Freeform saddle.  I investigated the seat type and found it’s the older type.  I then set my stirrups back about an inch and a half, and moved them up one hole.  That seems to have solved my personal problems with it.  I rode a sloooowwwww 4 miles in it today with no problems (I love riding with my “lead ‘em and feed ‘em QH friends, I just wish they would do more than walk.  Of course, they probably wish I wouldn’t walk so fast). I will go out for a good ride tomorrow, and see how it really does with the new set up.  I love Ridecamp!  We may get cranky, irritable, snippy, and downright not nice at times, but ya’ll are a great group.  And Angie, I loved the story…laughed my rear off, emailed the story to some friends who do halter with their QH’s and Appy’s, and they laughed their rears off too.

Thanks again everyone.
