I would suspect that the vast majority of people in the USA are non-riders who would think just that.  And I'm finding that the majority with an agenda, however ridiculous or impractical, have the power to force politicians to make rules that control the rest of us.  It's really scary....

One of the biggest problems is that much of the public (including some other horse owners) think it?s abuse to make a horse trot down the trail and sweat, and that if the horses are lean & fit as opposed to fat & sassy, that they?re being starved.
