No flies yet here in MI, woohoo, but they're probably coming.

My horse wrapped his tail around a tree last summer, yanked and broke his 
tail, as in has no use of his tail at all anymore.  So no fly swatter.  I'm 
trying to figure out what to do for him for fly control.  Suggestions would 
be appreciated on ideas for at home in the pasture and also any ideas for 
what to do when riding.  I'm thinking of a fly sheet, but have no experience 
with those or blankets/sheets of any kind, so not sure which companies are 
good or what to look for in a sheet that will stay on, breathe, etc.  I have 
free range poultry to hopefully help with the flies, but I guess that means 
I can't use the fly predators.
