[RC] Mtn Lions/goats/possible good news - Sheila_Larsen

I went to a talk about Mtn Lions and a study in Arizona was quoted and the
study found that it is typically young mtn lions that take goats and small
livestock. The good news is that they may be taking over new territory and
one they mature it is unlikely that they will take small livestock again,
but they will protect their territory so it may be many years before small
livestock is taken again.... So you may have your own "guard mtn lion" for
many years to come and no loss of livestock. I am not making light of the
issue of losing livestock by any means just trying to pass information
along.

A lovely horse is always an experience.... It is an emotional experience of
the kind that is spoiled by words. ~Beryl Markham
