[RC] Advice wanted please.. - Ranelle Rubin

Hi Ridecampers,

I am writing for advice from all of you. Yesterday afternoon, I went with my boyfriend to look at a horse. (Looking for a really BIG horse if anyone has one by the way). We went to a ranch where there are 29 horses, stallions/mares/filly's/colts of all ages. The horses were all in good flesh, and very friendly, BUT....

Several of them, including a darling colt standing in a 12X12 pipe corral.. had "Alladdin Slippers" for feet!!! This poor colt could hardly walk for the 6-8" outgrowth on his front feet! I saw many of the younges horses in this condition. These poor horses were standing on their heels!!! Ahhh!

This is a breeding farm for Pinto/Arabian/Saddlebred crosses. They sell of the ones that don't come out colored.

What do I do??? It is still bothering me today....I have her email address, but the condition of the place-the house, barn, etc..leads me to believe they really don't care..Some of the horses it was obvious had regular foot care.
