[RC] Anyone in the Auburn/Sacramento want to ride a nice horse? - Ranelle Rubin

Hi Ridecampers,

I am looking for someone who might be "between" horses, have one who is recouperating, resting, or just not ready to do a ride..who wants to come ride my mare with me. It can be a regular thing, a once in a while thing, or a full fledged arrangement with you having a first right of refusal..(that would need to be a lease and involve $ though)

She is my backup horse, and a sweet mare. She has done an LD before I bought her, and a 50 miler last year. She did great, has great recoveries, and is a nice mare to ride. Kathy Sherman rode her on the LOVE ride last year and did a great job with her. She needs a sensitive rider, as a cowboy trainer rode her with spurs before I owned her and really scared her. I do prefer a woman honestly for that reason, but an experienced sensitive guy is ok too. Max "naked" weight of rider I prefer is about 160lbs.

I am not interested in selling her, or really leasing her..the $ is not the deal here. She just needs a rider..! I have a Freeform (but of course!) for her with a 17" or 18" seat available.

Would be great if you chipped in for gas once in awhile, but other than that..come ride! If it works out, and I feel I can trust you with her, we can even work out an endurance ride..

Kathy Sherman, if you care to comment on how she is to ride..?

If there is someone who wants to try her out this weekend, let me know asap.
