How many of us are there on Ridecamp? Or, let me ask
this - how many of us on Ridecamp are Arabian lovers?
If every one of us who fits that description would
donate $5 or $10 to the Colorado Thoroughbred Rescue
for their willingness to save Arabs when they can, I
would hope that could help ease some of the negative
feelings this whole situation seems to have caused. It
broke my heart to see that mare's pic on the website,
and it broke my heart to realize that people can be so
ignorant/naive/whatever you want to call it, but it
also warmed my heart to know that the rescue
organization still saved her, even at a high cost
(money, emotions and time) to them. My budget may be
tight, but I hope my small donation to them that's
going in the mail today can help rescue another horse
or buy them more cell phone minutes, but maybe more
importantly, that it can help them see that we who
followed this story do care and do truly appreciate
what they're doing.
