Re: [RC] [RC] Hind End confirmation - Barbara McCrary

One of the best horses I ever had was 1/2 QH and 1/2 Arab.  I loved that horse.  He took me through Tevis twice.

This past summer I ended up getting a half arab half quarter mare.  Her previous owner wanted to make her into a barrel horse, I think she?s very happy that didn?t happen.  She?s been amazing so far in our training.  She is smooth and moves up hills like they aren?t even there.  She?d never had shoes and has flown over major rocks like they aren?t there.

A couple weeks ago I mentioned to a lady sending 2 of her horses to our place for training that I have really begun to appreciate the arab/quarter cross and she asked me if I wanted a horse of hers she wasn?t getting along with.  She?s a western pleasure rider and bought the horse to expand to hunter jumper.  She?s 7/8 arab, 1/8 quarter and is very nicely forward and definitely got the butt from the quarter side.  Now I have to decide which one to ride and which to sell (a thing I?m not good at since now I have 13 that all need work!)

On another note, this new mare is incredibly wide and has a very level back.  Interestingly both of them have very level backs, but the one that is sooooo wide has me needing a new saddle.  Anyone have an extra wide FnE saddle they want to sell or trade?
