[RC] progress? - Dot Wiggins

I'd like to add the following to Bruce's progress report.

In my mind the best things that ever happened to protect the horses during a ride were:
The pulse gate into hold at all checks.
The mandatory pulse recovery at the finish.
Sound at a trot at the finish.
DQ if horse needs treatment within an hour of finishing.

All these items were put in place over a great deal of screaming, crying, swearing, and other kinds of protests. I think they have all proved themselves many times over.

The things Bruce brings out have been very helpful, but often as "after the fact" information.
We need all of this together, we get a few more bits and pieces of useful info each season.

And I agree, we are not likely to change much in the way of "basic personality or behavior", we are what we are. Parents, teachers, preachers, and judges, haven't had a lot of luck yet. {{;>)))
