[RC] Serious Question - sangel15

Hello all....I have a friend in endurance who recently had to have a pacemaker
implanted unexpectedly. She seems to be 100% reliant. Her doctor, at this
point, does not exactly understand the rigors of the sport and thinks she
should be able to ride. However the book that came with the pacer suggests that
horseback riding (let alone endurance riding) is a "no-no". She has a follow-up
with her doc next week and will get very specific but in the meantime would
like other people's input as she is very upset about this. So how many out
there have a pacer who continued to pursue our sport of choice?? Especially
people 100% reliant. If you wish to keep this off ridecamp please e-mail me
privately at sangel15 at bellsouth dot net. Thank you very much....Sharon
