In response to:"I was researching Tulip's record for a little 
article, see that his mileage
(after 3 days of DVE) is 18,265 - but then I looked up Trilby 
Pederson's
horse Rushcreek Lad in the AERC database, his mileage is recorded 
as 21,025."


It's an "artifact" that the online mileage list shows a higher 
number than 18,215.

While the miles are in the AERC records, some 3,000 were 
disallowed by the BoD one season and the official total is 18,215. 
 The additional miles are disallowed in the horse's record in the 
AERC office.

When Russ and I did the online history for riders and horses many 
years ago - neither of us knew of the situation.

We've known about it now for a few years now and been disinclined 
to write a special piece of code to subtract it out.

The note at the bottom of the history page states

"The data in this website originates from the AERC National 
Office. Updates can and do occur. The official record source is 
the AERC National Office."

The 18K+ is the official AERC LT miles and 18215 is the one shown 
in the yearbook until 2005 when we stopped listing deceased equines.
