Hi Susan,
Another good one that works well in irrigated pastures during the summer is a Cross-linked Aldehyde called Cross-a-Pol. Most farrier supply dealers have it on the west coast. It can also be ordered through Delta Horseshoe Co. here in N.California

If you can?t find a good quality essential oil, let me know.
